SAINT PAUL (December 6, 2017) – For the second year, the Saint Paul Almanac is honored to co-host—along with Readings by Writers—a benefit for the Carol Connolly Endowment for the Saint Paul Almanac. Join the Almanac, Carol, and a community of Saint Paul storytellers and storyholders at the University Club of Saint Paul on Tuesday, December 19, at 7:30 p.m. This benefit event is open to everyone.

“Carol has been with the Almanac from the beginning,” said Metric Giles, Saint Paul Almanac board chair. “Her support of the Almanac is part of the vitality of the energies of all the people in our community who make this experiment happen.”

Carol Connolly has been a decades-long supporter of poets, thinkers, dreamers, activists, and writers across the Twin Cities. She has been our Saint Paul poet laureate for many years.

The Carol Connolly Endowment honors Carol’s work. All proceeds will help the Saint Paul Almanac thrive through the years as her endowment grows.

Carol’s December Readings by Writers will feature the following writers:

Following Carol’s strong tradition, the show will end promptly at 8:30 p.m.

Cake will be provided by Danny Klecko of St. Agnes Bakery.

This year’s event will be held in conjunction with the ongoing reading series Carol Connolly’s Readings by Writers, held the third Tuesday of each month at the University Club.
