Saint Paul Almanac, in collaboration with the University of St. Thomas, is looking for one creative writer and one skilled visual artist to curate and develop a storytelling contest.  “The Power of Storytelling for Environmental Justice in Our Communities” contest seeks to bring awareness and creative storytelling around the theme of environmental justice. In Minnesota, along with every state in the nation, Black, Brown, Indigenous and low-wealth communities are disproportionately affected by climate change and environmental pollution.  We need storytelling that speaks to our communities’ lived experiences

The contest curators will develop a contest theme, rules, submission guidelines, lead workshops for participants and collaboratively create a piece of their own. Minnesota residents only, timeline is from Nov 2021-May 2022. The curators will be paid a stipend of $5000 each. For more information and how to apply visit this link.
