The Unparalleled Legacy of Kimberly Nightingale and Dan Tilsen

In 2007, Kimberly Nightingale launched the first volume of the Almanac. As an editor who had worked in the publishing arena, Nightingale observed established practices that block the influence and participation of BIPOC communities and other communities encountering inequity and inequality. To counter harmful editorial practices, Nightingale created the Saint Paul Almanac’s Community Editor Apprenticeship.

Kimberly Nightingale and Dan Tilsen, her husband, devoted endless hours and many resources over 15 years to realize Kimberly’s fervent vision. Learn more about their legacy and an opportunity to receive a complimentary copy of Volume 13 and a Saint Paul Almanac canvas tote bag when you donate to The Nightingale Tilsen Legacy Fund.

Host a House Party

How often have you and your friends met at a favorite spot to enjoy drinks and apps or drinks and entrées, spending at least $50.00? Instead of dining out, why not cook your famous dishes or order a delish takeout and host a party, where everyone chips in by donating $50 to your favorite nonprofit organization, Saint Paul Almanac? Bon Appetit!

We’d be happy to help you plan the event!
